About

Dr. Wilson-Aggarwal is an ecologist with an interest in animal behaviour, disease ecology, human-animal interactions and the ‘One Health’ approach to addressing public health and conservation issues.

Jared has conducted extensive field work in rural Africa, with his work providing insights for the management of zoonotic diseases. He gained a PhD at the University of Exeter studying the ecology of free-ranging domestic dogs in Chad and Ethiopia. His research contributed towards the on-going global campaign to eradicate Guinea worm, providing evidence for the likely transmission pathways in dogs.

Jared has also studied human behaviour, investigating the mobility and contacts of healthcare workers in the hospital environment and how this relates to the risk of COVID-19 infection.
