I’m the Founder and CEO of StayLyte, a functional beverage company based in Dallas, Texas. We’re building what we believe to be the world’s first culturally-aware electrolyte drink. As a beverage, StayLyte is redefining hydration through naturally fruit-flavoured, electrolyte-infused sparkling drinks. Going further, StayLyte aims to establish a global lifestyle brand rooted in balance, vitality, and cultural relevance. What I enjoy most is seeing StayLyte's impact: watching someone drink StayLyte after a workout, at a party, or as a daily go-to drink, and knowing that we’re contributing to how people feel and function.
I was an international student from Nigeria.
My typical day combines strategic leadership with personal activities. Mornings are for executive decisions, working with the StayLyte team across operations, branding, and distribution deals. I manage both remote and physical teams, so clarity and delegation are key. Afternoons are for creative endeavours: storytelling, marketing, and community engagement. Evenings are for accountability and personal reflection, but also reserved for what matters most: family. I’m a proud girl dad, and being present for my wife and daughter is something I deeply cherish. I believe that being there for your family is both a blessing and a responsibility, and it helps fuel my purpose knowing that I'm playing a part in creating a better future for the next generation.
There have been many milestones in my career, from leading operations for brands like GoPuff and Pandion to managing multimillion-dollar rollouts. But launching StayLyte has been the most defining. In under a year, StayLyte has entered major Texas markets, sponsored cultural events, and sparked genuine excitement around the brand. But more than achievements, I value the principle that fuels it all: constant learning. As Alvin Toffler said, 'The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.' That mindset has shaped my growth, I carry the thought with me daily.
Kent was a real turning point in my journey. It gave me the tools I needed, especially in supply chain and international business, but more importantly, it allowed me to rediscover myself. It was at Kent that I was diagnosed with dyslexia, and that knowledge turned my life around. What I once saw as a disadvantage became my strength. My unique approach to life and the knowledge acquired from Kent caused a shift that has shaped everything from problem-solving, creativity to leadership.
Embrace what sets you apart. The future of business belongs to those who are bold enough to be themselves: authentic, adaptive, and purpose-driven. Understand your industry well, but do not lose your unique lens in the process. The most impactful ventures are those that reflect your personal values, not just your technical expertise. Let your difference be your edge.
Absolutely. Kent alumni are part of my global circle. I spent some time last year in Thailand with fellow alumni who happen to be some of my closest friends, and quite recently, last week, I reconnected with others in Lagos. These relationships have opened doors, created partnerships, and reminded me of the value of shared roots. A strong network is one of the most underrated assets in life and business.
Over the next few years (2035), I intend to scale StayLyte into the global lifestyle brand it was designed to be. One that sits at the intersection of hydration, wellness, and culture. Our vision is to help people build a lifestyle that disregards limitations and defies odds. Beyond that, I want to empower underrepresented founders and build ecosystems that unlock their full potential. But just as importantly, I want to be a model husband and a great dad. My ambitions include making my home a thriving, loving community. Business is only worth it if the people closest to you can thrive with you.
Kent taught me to think differently and to own my narrative. Today’s consumers want more than products, they want purpose. We’re seeing a shift in business where people choose brands that help them live better and longer lives. Sustainability isn’t just a trend, it’s becoming a lifestyle standard. The future belongs to businesses that understand this and design not just for the market, but for humanity. To this end, StayLyte is just the beginning.
