Laura discusses nonlinear physics with junior colleagues
Laura, Jemma and me in Gallipoli
I work on nonlinear systems and their applications in areas ranging from physics and biology to computer algorithms and number theory. I am currently supported by an EPSRC Springboard Fellowship in Mathematical Sciences for the project ''Nonlinear dynamics of artificial immune systems'', and am a member of the ARTIST network. A colour plot arising from the application of the B-Cell Algorithm by student Johnny Kelsey to finding the roots of the polynomial f(z)=z^3-1 appears here (postscript file - scroll image to bottom of window).
