Welcome to SECL Graduate Studies

Cathedral

The School of European Culture and Languages offers a range of programmes at Graduate level. We offer a varied choice of Taught MA programmes in Archaeology, Comparative Literature, French, German, Hispanic Studies, Modern European Literature, Philosophy, and Religious Studies. These typically entail attendance of courses rated in credits plus the writing of a Dissertation. If taken full-time, you study between September and May/June and write your Dissertation during the summer. If you take them part-time, you follow taught courses over two years (September to May/June) and write your Dissertation during the summer of your second year.

We also have Taught MA programmes at our Paris campus in the city centre (Montparnasse), and at Athens (Eleusis). Students enrolled on the Paris programmes spend the Autumn term studying in Canterbury and the Spring term in Paris. For more information, please see the full list of our Taught MAs.
