KIASH

Welcome

The Kent Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (KIASH) co-ordinates research activity in all fields of the humanities.

KIASH supports a range of activities - seminars, guest-speaker programmes, conferences, colloquia, day-schools organised by the constituent Schools of the Faculty of Humanities in Kent (Architecture, Arts, English, European Culture and Languages, and History) and our various interdisciplinary Research Centres.

We host Distinguished Visiting Professors, and can welcome Visiting Lecturers / Researchers who wish to advance their work in our various proceedings. The research activity in question must be carried out at an advanced level and aimed at an audience of Faculty staff and research students. As part of our activities, we also provide a forum for the presentation, development and enhancement of graduate research.
