SDS replacement project
The university is moving from a bespoke in-house data system to a commercial system, which is broadly standardized and easy to maintain.
The new resource discovery tool being developed, named LibrarySearch, will aid the discoverability and accessibility of books, articles and other quality resources.
Templeman Library development
A 5000m2 extension will be added to the western side of the Templeman Library, in time for the University's 50th anniversary celebrations in 2015.
Kent 'Early' ORCID project - connecting research and researchers
The project is primarily in relation to early career researchers (hence Kent ‘Early’ ORCID). The aim will be to spread the word and benefits of an ORCID iD and sign up 1000 members within the University.
An Information Services project is underway to extend WiFi coverage on the Canterbury campus to all areas of all buildings by autumn 2013.
