More information
The remit of Information Services is to make wireless networking available in spaces that are open to all students. Wireless access is now available in the following locations:
- Canterbury campus: in the Templeman Library, in social spaces in the colleges, and in centrally-timetabled teaching spaces.
- Medway campus: throughout all University of Kent buildings
- Tonbridge: the Tonbridge Centre is networked.
Information Services (IS) can also help academic schools/departments to install wireless networking in staff offices and other departmental spaces on campus. To discuss the installation of wireless networking in your school or department please contact Helpdesk in the first instance:
- telephone (01227 82) 4888
- email helpdesk@kent.ac.uk
The cost of installing wireless access points and any necessary wiring (costs dependent on location) is the responsibility of the school/department. IS will plan, advise, order, install and configure the access points in collaboration with the Estates Department.
