Information Services has been working with users and a team of architects to help identify how the library should develop to support the University’s changing needs.
A detailed appraisal was finalised in February 2009. This sets out a clear list of options and measures them against our vision for the future of the Library which was published in January 2008 following wide-ranging consultation.
The Appraisal Report concludes that a larger, improved library facility is required and this can be achieved by remodelling the existing building with a large extension.The full report, which is being considered as part of the developing Estates Strategy, can be found at: www.kent.ac.uk/is/projects/review
