Maidstone Crown Court Open Day

We think that the event will being a fascinating opportunity for people to learn about what goes on at their local court. I would encourage anyone with an interest in pursuing a career in law (or in wider aspects of the justice system) to attend. Indeed, I would also encourage anyone to attend who is just interested in what we do.

The event will open at 10am. Last entry will be at 2.30pm, with the event closing at 3.30pm.

Among the things taking place at the event will be:

  1. Mock trials (with members of the public acting as jurors)
  2. Mock sentences (with opportunity for visitors to say what sentence they think should be passed)
  3. Visits to the cells
  4. Opportunities to see inside a prison transport van, police van and police car (all subject to any operational demands)
  5. Police dogs (again, subject to any operational demands)
