
Are you becoming stressed and anxious about the thought of sitting in-person exams? Been used to online assessments and now need a refresher on how to cope with exam room conditions? While stress and anxiety are natural responses to exams and normal levels can help to enhance performance, you might be feeling a little ‘out of practice’. If this is you, then the Student Learning Advisor Service (SLAS) are offering you a chance to assess your own stress responses by experiencing a simulated one-hour exam in the ‘Exam Chamber’. This two-hour sessions includes:. • Brief guidance from our advisers on exam techniques you might wish to test • A timed, invigilated ‘exam’ for one hour on a general topic. • Peer-review discussion. • Q&A session with advisers to discuss how you felt: was it fight, flight or freeze? • Hear advice on seeking appropriate support to help you prepare for your real exams For more information, please email learningmedway@kent.ac.uk.
