Exam Chamber - Medway Campus

SLAS are offering simulated exam sessions to help you improve your performance in exams. No revision. No marking. Just practise.

Are you becoming stressed and anxious about the thought of sitting in-person exams? Been used to online assessments and now need a refresher on how to cope with exam room conditions? While stress and anxiety are natural responses to exams and normal levels can help to enhance performance, you might be feeling a little ‘out of practice’. If this is you, then the Student Learning Advisor Service (SLAS) are offering you a chance to assess your own stress responses by experiencing a simulated one-hour exam in the ‘Exam Chamber’. This two-hour sessions includes:. • Brief guidance from our advisers on exam techniques you might wish to test • A timed, invigilated ‘exam’ for one hour on a general topic. • Peer-review discussion. • Q&A session with advisers to discuss how you felt: was it fight, flight or freeze? • Hear advice on seeking appropriate support to help you prepare for your real exams For more information, please email learningmedway@kent.ac.uk. Spaces are available on a strictly first come, first served basis.
