Create and render documents with the LyX document processor
Functionality
LyX (made by lyx.org) is an advanced open source document processor that allows the user to focus on their writing without the worry of proper formatting. LyX uses LaTex, a powerful typesetting engine to produce high quality and professional documents. It offers the user extensive control over features of a document including margins, headers/footers, spacing/indents, fonts etc. By selecting a predefined set of rules, the software ensures that the format is consistent throughout the document. LyX is also well equipped to handle the input of mathematical formulae and equations and can produce matrices and arrays on command. LyX is able to support large documentation creation in the form of disserations and theses, and provides control over individual chapters and sections.
