The University's Conference Office has been awarded top position in a 'mystery buyer' poll of UK academic venues.
The National Mystery Buyer Research Survey is conducted annually by Venuemasters, the national venue-finding agency representing 67 academic venues in the UK. Each year, an independent researcher records each venue’s responses to a telephone enquiry against a comprehensive checklist and a quality score is allocated.
The Kent Conference team received this year’s top award after achieving the highest score. The award was presented to Kent’s Conference Manager, Sheena Butterworth, by Venuemasters CEO John Butterworth at a gala ceremony in Leicester.
Sheena Butterworth said: ‘This award is a major achievement for our team of Event Co-ordinators who work tirelessly to deliver a very high standard of customer service to potential buyers. We aim to turn all enquiries around within a 24-hour period and it is hugely rewarding for us to be recognised as delivering the top service level in the UK when benchmarked against other academic venues.’
