University hosts first official Canterbury 10km run

Bookings are now open for Canterbury’s first fully certified 10km run, to be hosted by the University over the Easter weekend.

The  run,  on  Sunday 5 April 2015, is being organised in partnership with Sporting Events UK. Starting at Kent Sport Pavilion on Canterbury campus, its route will cover much of the historic ‘Crab and Winkle Way’ through Canterbury .

The race is suitable for suitable for all abilities of runner, from beginners to elite, and every finisher will receive a medal. The run is fully certified and licensed by runbritain and  UK Athletics, and all results will be submitted to them for inclusion in records and rankings.

To coincide with the run, there will an Easter Egg Hunt and fun races for younger family members. The Pavilion will be offering refreshments throughout the day, as well as changing facilities and  a balcony to watch the start and finish of the race.
