The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), part of the University's School of Anthropology and Conservation, is celebrating its 25th birthday.

DICE was founded by Emeritus Professor Ian Swingland at the University in November 1989.

It is the largest academic institute dedicated to conservation in the UK, with a focus to strive for sustainable livelihoods and incentive-driven biodiversity conservation that benefits people.

DICE is also committed to high-quality, practical, applied conservation research. Recent research news stories are available here and here.
