In Conversation events consist of an informal conversation between the guest and the University’s Chancellor, former BBC journalist and author Gavin Esler. Audience members can participate in the conversations by submitting questions in advance via Twitter using #GavinAsks or email at events@kent.ac.uk.

Lord Adonis is a Labour peer who served in the Labour government until May 2010, when he became shadow Treasury spokesman until September 2015. He resigned from his position as head of the National Infrastructure Commission over his criticism of the government’s handling of a rail franchise. He is also an outspoken critic of the Brexit process.
