Widely regarded as the one of greatest stage and screen actors of his generation, David Suchet CBE is the guest for the University’s In Conversation with Chancellor Gavin Esler on Friday 3 November.

The event will take place in the University’s Colyer-Fergusson Hall, from 18.30 -19.30. Gavin Esler will explore his guest’s award-winning career, and audience members can ask questions on the night, or submit them in advance via Twitter using #GavinAsks or email at events@kent.ac.uk.

Famous for his BAFTA-nominated portrayal of Agatha Christie’s detective Hercule Poirot, Mr Suchet is also known for his stage roles which include Iago in Othello and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, as well as television’s The Little Drummer Girl (1984) and Dracula (2006), and the films The Bank Job (2008) and American Assassin (2017).

He recently guest starred as The Landlord, for an episode of the tenth series of Doctor Who and will be Chairman & CEO of Worldwide News, owner of The Post, in a new drama series, Press, to be broadcast on BBC One in 2018.

Tickets for the talk cost £5 (£4 for students). Tickets for a three-course dinner hosted by the Chancellor and his guest, following the In Conversation, also available for £35.

Full recordings of previous In Conversation events are available on the University’s YouTube channel and a podcast of all three series will be available soon.
