Francesca Simon, the author of the popular Horrid Henry children’s books will be the guest for a family-friendly In Conversation event at the University on Saturday 28 October.

In an event suitable for fans young and old, University Chancellor Gavin Esler will chat with Ms Simon about her books, characters and favourite Horrid Henry moments.

Following the conversation, which takes place at 13.30 in the University’s Gulbenkian Theatre at its Canterbury campus, there will be a Francesca Simon-themed tea party for all ages featuring a chance to meet the author, who will be signing her books.

Tickets for the talk cost £5 (£4 for staff/students/children) while ticket prices are £3 per adult and £2 per child, inclusive of food and drink, at the tea party. Tickets can be booked online from this link.

The next guest in the In Conversation series will be author, commentator and political activist Owen Jones on Monday 23 October. Full film recordings of In Conversation events are available on the University’s YouTube channel.
