About

James joined the University of Kent in 2017, initially supporting the administration of undergraduate programmes. He moved into research programme administration in 2019 and has gained extensive experience and knowledge in this area. 

James's main responsibilities include the administration and examination of all research programmes at the University of Kent. He has an excellent knowledge of the academic regulations and codes of practice for research courses and can help and advise on these matters as required. 

His role covers both PGR administration and Quality Assurance and includes the progression and examination of research students, approval of change of circumstances requests as well as the appointment of PGR examiners ensuring these are fully compliant with our regulations. 

He is line manager to some of the team of Research Programme Coordinators and is happy to receive enquiries on any matters relating to PGR admin and PGR QA.
