The Medieval Canterbury Weekend 2026 will take place from Friday 1 May to Sunday 3 May 2026, hosted at the University of Kent, Canterbury. Events will be held in the Templeman Library Lecture Theatre and a neighbouring lecture theatre in the Grimond Building. As in previous years, Craig’s Bookshop will have a stall throughout the weekend.
The Medieval Canterbury Weekend brings together leading historians and scholars to showcase the latest research on the Middle Ages in an accessible and engaging way. Speakers include Helen Castor, Marc Morris, Rachel Koopmans, David Carpenter, and Caroline Barron, among others, covering topics that span religion, politics, kingship, and everyday life in turbulent times.
