Practical steps towards long term change.

This final session will take a practical look at how the learning from previous sessions can be implemented and explore high level strategies to address racial disparities as they manifest in processes and interpersonal relationships e.g. supervisory relationships

This session aims to:

  • address the practical barriers faced by colleagues whilst implementing changes to existing processes
  • outline the purpose of positive action initiatives and how to they are being used
  • review practical steps individuals can take to democratise information and improve the experience of prospective and current Black PhD researchers
  • provide advice on how the supervisory relationship can provide a source of inclusive support
