Teaching Fellow in Mechanical Engineering
Dr Delika Weragoda

About

Delika serves as a Teaching Fellow within the School of Engineering. He completed his PhD in Automotive Engineering at the University of Surrey (2020 – 2024). His research experience spans in a diverse range of expertise in both modelling and experimental investigations of heat transfer and fluid flow systems. Particular research interests include microfluidics, single and two-phase cooling, evaporative cooling, heat transfer enhancement techniques achieved through material and surface modification, as well as interfacial sciences involving solid-liquid and liquid-liquid interactions. He also works on developing a novel battery thermal management system based on capillary-driven evaporative cooling and other hybrid battery thermal management systems.
