The Centre is the home for the University's postgraduate programmes of study in Higher Education, both taught and research.
Associate Fellowship Scheme (AFS)
A 30-credit, one year course, intended for Graduate Teaching Assistants or members of staff contractually required to take the AFS.
Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE)
A 60-credit, two year course, intended for lecturers, normally in their first fulltime post who are contractually required to take the PGCHE.
Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDip)
A 120-credit course that builds upon the knowledge and theories gained during the PGCHE and focuses on developing an understanding of the processes and nature of educational research. The credits gained for the PGCHE are included in the required credits.
Masters in Higher Education (MA)
A 180-credit course that builds upon the PDip and consists of a dissertation. The credits achieved in the PDip are included in these credits.
