Applied Behaviour Analysis MSc

This course has deepened my knowledge of Behaviour Analysis and has presented networking opportunities. It has given me a solid foundation to begin my career in a field which I'm certain is right for me.

What attracted you to the programme?

I studied my undergraduate degree with the Tizard Centre so I was looking at the postgraduate courses they offered. I had some experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) but I wanted to know more and was considering a career in the field.

Which areas of study did you find particularly inspiring?

Towards the end of the course, previous students came to Kent to talk about both the course itself and the direction that they have now taken within their careers. This was inspiring as it gave a real insight into some of the opportunities available.

What sort of support is there for postgraduate students?

The teaching staff on the course were brilliant in terms of support and actual teaching. They were extremely professional and never turned away when I reached out for support.

Does the course allow you to pursue your own interests?

Definitely yes. On the dissertation module you choose an area of research which is of interest to you. And in terms of career opportunities for a field such as Behaviour Analysis, there are many different routes that you can choose to pursue.

What are your plans after completing your MSc?

I am currently working in an ABA school in Kensington and seeking board-certified supervision to become a certified behaviour analyst.

What advice do you have for applicants considering this programme?

Apply to this course if you want to pursue a career within ABA. It is hugely beneficial and will allow you to develop the theoretical foundation that you need.
