This module teaches the practical and professional skills of producing journalism for broadcast on television and radio, and online equivalents. Students will learn about the culture of British television, its history, development and future. Receive training from professionals in the use of cameras, editing equipment and television studio production facilities. Learn how broadcast newsrooms are structured and work in a team to produce a news programme. Students will also learn advanced techniques in radio news programme production and training with equipment needed to capture, edit and broadcast radio news. Students will learn about the regulation of broadcast news, including the Ofcom code.

5. Demonstrate a detailed understanding of how broadcast techniques are being adapted and combined in an online environment
6. Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the regulatory and ethical codes which apply to broadcast journalism and produce work which is compliant with those codes
