The first part will equip you with crucial academic and cultural skills, exploring UK academic nuances to help you master coursework and presentation techniques, and develop your Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and intercultural communication competencies. Practical elements include visits to Canterbury and Leeds Castle, enriching your understanding of local culture and heritage.
In the second part, you will concentrate on personal development and professional readiness. exploring global leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and sustainability awareness. You will learn to articulate your unique international perspective, enhance your employability, and develop the ability to collaborate across cultural boundaries. The module emphasises creating a compelling personal narrative and preparing you to be a confident, culturally intelligent global citizen.
Through the module, you will be encouraged to actively engage with the university's global community and apply your CQ, particularly through the Global Officers who organise events like Global Hangouts and Cultural Celebration Week.
