Overview

The Year in Industry Placement provides you with a structured opportunity to combine work experience with your academic study. With this exciting opportunity you will develop, reinforce and apply professional and/or technical expertise in an employment context.
During your Industry Placement you will document your experiences in relation to both your university studies as well as to a wide range of employability skills, appropriate to your degree and experience. The length of the placement should normally be at least 44 weeks and will be completed between the end of Summer Term of Stage 2 and the start of Autumn Term in Stage 3. While it is your responsibility to source and apply for the work placement, we will help you in this process, working with your School and the University's Careers and Employability Service. This is a great opportunity for you to gain experience of work in an organisation whose aims and activities are broadly related to economics.
