Overview

Get equipped as an aspiring project professional with the tools, skills, and insights needed to excel in the dynamic world of modern project management. You will learn about project controls such as risk management, scheduling, quality management, planning and more for successful project delivery. You will also critique the P3M framework to understand how projects align with wider programme and portfolio management to support business strategy and achieve maximum value. By completing this module, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of project planning and control. This module isn't just an academic course

Project Business Case (15 minutes) worth 20%.
Project Plan (2000 words) worth 80%.

Reassessment Method: 100% Written Assessment (Report – Project Plan, 2,000 words)

Learning outcomes

On successfully completing the module, students will be able to: 

Critically analyse project requirements and trade-offs for successful project delivery
Critically evaluate and apply principles and practices for successful project planning, management and control.
Critically examine how projects support programmes, portfolios and organisational strategic direction.
Systematically analyse a range of sources of information and data and critically evaluate their relevance and applicability to different project environments.
