You will learn how to craft engaging, dynamic user experiences using latest browser technologies and design principles. On the back end, you’ll master server-side programming, databases, and how to build robust, scalable, and secure web applications that can handle real-world demands.

Mini-Project 1 worth 40%.
Mini-Project 2 worth 40%.
6 x mini-practical class exercises worth 20%.

Reassessment Method: Like-for-like Including composite form of reassessment for failed practical components – practical mini project.

Learning outcomes

On successfully completing the module, students will be able to: 
Build and deploy web-based systems.
Design and build dynamic and interactive web clients.
Build webserver applications.
Demonstrate awareness of OWASP web application security risks.
Critically analyse problems and produce web-based solutions.
