Estate Planning

The Estate Planning section of the Estates Department undertakes a number of functions in relation to space planning and property management.

Whilst its major task is to fulfill the University's space planning function, both at the strategic planning and implementation stages, it also covers a number of property-related responsibilities.

Departmental updates

Although the annual University Room Register provides an opportunity to check, update and return a record of departmental space usage to the Estates Department, it is still necessary to inform us of staff moves or room changes which occur throughout the year.

Web Central

Launched in 2018, the Web Central Department Space Management system is available to nominated staff within each school and department. This function will allow updates to be made to both staff details and staff locations direct to our Archibus database. It will also provide read-only access to view departmental space data and building plans. Staff wishing to use this function should contact CS&E IT who will organise this and provide user guidance as required.
