What is RPI?
RPI (Retail Price Index) In the UK the RPI is a measure of inflation published monthly by the Office of National Statistics. It measures the change in the cost of a representative sample of retail goods and services and is widely used. The RPI for March will be used as the base measure for the following academic years fees (for example, the change in RPI between March 2015 and March 2016 will be the index applied to the 2016/17 academic year tuition fees in order to determine the 2017/18 academic year tuition fees
