Eveyln Bush is Associate Professor of Sociology at Fordham University in New York City. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Cornell University in 2005, where she completed a dissertation on religious human rights NGOs at the United Nations. Her research focuses on religion, globalization, gender and human rights, and has been published in Sociological Theory and Social Forces.

Dr. Bush coordinated the design and construction of the survey and interview instruments for the Religious NGOs at the United Nations project. In addition, she is currently engaged in research on religious freedom and U.S. foreign policy, and the influence of institutional classification on the gendered application of religious freedom and human rights principles.
