Disability at Kent

Newspaper article about Kent

The disability at Kent project explores the changing experiences of disabled students and staff at the University of Kent over the last 50 years. Those carrying out research on this project are using the oral histories of disabled students, alumni, and past and present members of staff, as well as some archival sources to highlight the changes to attitude, policy and provision toward disabled people at the University. The volunteers involved in the disability at Kent project are interested in medical history in particular and this project allows them to focus on their area of interest while gaining practical experience as a historian.
