Global anniversary launches

Paris, Brussels, Rome, Athens, USA and Southeast Asia

Across our 50th anniversary year, the University held celebrations at each of its European centres, as well as in the USA and Southeast Asia, to celebrate its international alumni. These events also gave alumni the chance to share their favourite memories of the University.

A series of celebration events took place in seven states; each attracted a high number of Kent graduates. The 50th anniversary team hosted each event.

Professor Roger Vickerman, the University’s Dean for Europe, joined alumni at the British Embassy in Washington DC. Current Kent students who are undertaking placements at Cisco also attended the San Francisco event.

Kent alumnus, Johnnie Raines (Eliot, 1990) hosted a masquerade ball at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in LA, where four alumni were reunited for the first time in 15 years.
