Let's celebrate 50 years: 1965-2015
In 2014/15 the University of Kent celebrates its 50th anniversary. Since the 'First 500' walked across Eliot causeway in 1965, the University has made great strides. That small community of students and staff were the pioneers of Kent's vision to be the inclusive, international and inspiring community it is today.
Through this landmark anniversary, Kent will host a series of events, celebrations and projects designed to establish a legacy to ensure our future success. It is an opportunity for our staff, students, alumni, former staff and members of the community to celebrate our heritage, our achievements and our on-going contributions that, with our European and international partnerships, reach across the globe.
The 50th anniversary celebrations, to be launched in October 2014, will culminate in the Alumni Reunion Weekend in September 2015. This dedicated website provides information about our plans - join us and get involved so that our 50th anniversary celebrations reflect the best Kent has to offer.
The countdown begins!
