Department of Politics and International Relations launches a graduate school in Brussels.

Opening of 'The Venue' – Kent Union's on-campus nightclub.

Kent becomes the first European university to be recognised as an Authorised Academic Java™ Campus, reflecting the University's position as a 'first-tier' university in Computer Science.
