Our vibrant Medway campus, close to the river Medway and partly based at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, houses innovative, award-winning buildings and offers an exciting social life with a strong sense of community.
Our Medway campus is part of a unique partnership with the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University, known collectively as Universities at Medway.
The site was originally built as a naval base, HMS Pembroke, at the start of the 20th century. The University of Kent moved onto the Medway campus in 2005, and most of our Medway buildings are new or have been completely renovated. For example, the Grade II listed Drill Hall Library, study facilities that include purpose-built studios and music rehearsal rooms, three industry-standard newsrooms and a private sports treatment clinic.
