Monday 10th March - Service Updates
17:15 STUDENT DATA SYSTEM (SDS) web access unavailable again to all overnight. We hope to restore service on Tuesday morning 11th March, and will update this message when available. We expect this to be by 09:30. We are still investigating the cause of recent outages, so SDS should still be considered at risk of interruption.
WEB OF SCIENCE & WEB OF KNOWLEDGE
Web of Science & Web of Knowledge both have a problem currently, that makes it crash in Internet Explorer when used on campus PCs.
Turning off compatibility mode in Internet Explorer (this may break other sites, but the risk is low) as follows fixes the issue, and we are working on a long term solution:
Tools > Compatibility view settings > untick the box that says "Display intranet sites in Compatility View" > apply changes

08:00-10:00 University web site: http://www.kent.ac.uk, MODDLE, Myfolio, and Kent Blogs service (http://blogs.kent.ac.uk) will be briefly interrupted soon after 08:00 and at risk of interruption until 10:00, due to emergency maintenance.
08:00-10:00 VERDI - unavailable due to system work.
08:00-10:00 Users may notice short interruptions while working in OUTLOOK and OWA. Users may be asked to re-log in to OWA.
Thursday 13th March - Planned Maintenance
08:00-09:00 MOODLE Live/2012/Training/External/Archive will be briefly interrupted soon after 08:00 due to maintenance.
Tuesday 18th March - Planned Maintenance
08:00-10:00 British Cartoon Archive and VERDI - unavailable due to system work.
Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th April - SharePoint Upgrade
SharePoint https://sharepoint.kent.ac.uk/ will be unavailable on both of these days whilst it is upgraded to SharePoint 2013.
Tuesday 22nd April - Planned Maintenance
08:00-13:00 STAFF and RESEARCH POSTGRADUATE EMAIL service is 'AT SMALL RISK' of interruption.
08:00-10:00 FOOTPRINTS unavailable while it is upgraded. Emails to firstname.lastname@example.org and service requests from IS web forms will be queued until it is back up. The portal to view your own tickets https://support.kent.ac.uk/ will also be unavailable during this time.
