As part of the Canterbury District Biodiversity Network we are hosting speakers from Marden Wildlife to talk about citizen science in biodiversity monitoring.
Ray and Lou from Marden Wildlife will be speaking on the theme of ‘Marden Wildlife: Community Engagement, Biodiversity Recording and Partnerships for Nature Recovery.’ The Marden Wildlife initiative is an inspiring example of a pioneering partnership between the community, landholders, conservation organisations and statutory bodies in working together to record and protect local wildlife. Ray and Lou will explain what the initiative has achieved, how they have gone about it and what we can learn from their experience.
