REF 2014

The Research Excellence Framework 2014 (or REF) was a government exercise to assess the quality and impact of UK universities’ research in all disciplines.

The REF is to help the four UK higher education funding bodies distribute about £2 billion per year of research funding across the UK selectively on the basis of research quality. It was carried out on their behalf by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

In order to better support your engagement with the REF results we have created some examples of how you could display the REF results on your own site using the snippets found in the chronos-departmental snippet pack.
