Kent is known for its approachable and accessible teaching style. Our academics have an outstanding ability to pass on their passion for study and debate. Through direct contact with them, you are intellectually challenged and encouraged to broaden your horizons.
Supportive student environment
The Centre provides a welcoming environment, and our staff are keen to listen and offer advice. Teaching is often in small groups and you will be inspired and encouraged by our tutors.
The Tonbridge Centre has a small library and study area. Students with a valid Kent Student Card, including those registered on our postgraduate-level courses, can borrow books from our library or order books from the University’s other libraries, which are delivered via our regular courier service. There is also an extensive collection of e-resources available via the Library Services website.
Students with a valid Kent Student Card can use the study area and one of the three University network PCs. There is also Wi-Fi access.
For more information, see the Tonbridge Centre Library website.

The Tonbridge Centre has been established in this market town for over 30 years. Our small and friendly centre is located just a few minutes' walk from Tonbridge town centre, public car parks and the railway station.
When you're not in the classroom, take advantage of your location and its historical features. Visit the 11th century castle, walk along the banks of the River Medway or explore the expansive parklands of Haysden Country Park.
