Come along to our Wellbeing Festival on Tuesday 20 March from 12pm to 3pm in the Student Hub and Drill Hall Library to discover a variety of fun and practical ways to improve your wellbeing.
We have an exciting line up of internal departments and external organisations coming to take part in the day, such as mental health and charity stands, Drill Hall library wellbeing, GK Union, mindful colouring, Medway Activities, Medway Park leisure centre and healthy snacks. All the stands listed in the tabs will be in the Student Hub from 12pm to 3pm.
Mental Health Stigma & Neuro Diversity workshop from 1pm to 3pm (2:15pm to 3pm Optional) for students and staff in the room R2-09 in Rochester Building.
In this free workshop Chloe Farahar (MBPsS, University of Kent PhD student) demonstrates a critical perspective and analysis of what are presently called 'mental illnesses', and the area of 'mental health'.
While this workshop focuses on mental health stigma, it also provides an insight into how to consider and apply a critical psychological perspective, in this instance, one at odds with the dominant medical-model discourse surrounding neuro-diversity
