Appeal against a decision to withdraw or refuse Student route visa sponsorship

PLEASE NOTE: If, after investigation, it is found that multiple conditions of sponsorship have been breached, the Student Immigration Compliance team retains the right to not offer a right of appeal. Withdrawal letters will state appeal rights based on individual circumstances.

The University aims to ensure that students have the opportunity to understand decisions made by the Student Immigration Compliance Manager and to appeal against such decisions. This may include, but is not limited to, a decision to withdraw or refuse Student route sponsorship or withdrawal from the University for not holding valid immigration permission to study in the UK.

Appeals will be escalated for consideration by the Authorising Officer where necessary.

Before submitting an appeal, please read the accompanying Guidance Document which outlines information about the evidence you will need to present to support your appeal.

The appeal, together with any supporting documentation, must be received within 5 working days from the date of the decision letter from the Student Immigration Compliance Manager. The information you submit as part of your appeal may be shared with the Student Immigration Compliance Team and your academic school to review your case.
