Learning resources are essential to your university study. We're providing excellent learning resources that are easily accessible, enhance your learning and broaden your knowledge.
Templeman Library was redeveloped during 2015-2018 and now offers over 400 more study spaces, totalling 1,600 spaces for individual, group, silent or more relaxed study in light, modern and bright surroundings. The library also now provides a 260 seat lecture theatre, Special Collections and Archives Reading Room, seminar rooms, exhibition space and a café.
Over £3m is spent annually on course-specific online resources and books. There are over 1m books and journals and over 1.1m e-resources available from the Templeman Library. Our special collections and archives are constantly expanding as a rich and relevant aid to study and research.
The Templeman Library is open 24/7 for all key academic weeks of the year and long hours in the vacation periods.
The Uni Kent Student App offers quick access to key links such as Moodle, your emails, KentVision and more. Plus you can stay up to date with what's on and what's new at Kent.
During the Covid-19 pandemic we adapted quickly to online study, providing the Online Learning at Kent Moodle module and loaning equipment to students where needed to support their studies.
We're also proud that Dr Phil Anthony of the University’s E-Learning Team was awarded the title of Learning Technologist of the Year 2021.
Microsoft Office 365 is available free of charge for all students together with a wide range of online tools and software to help you in your studies, covering productivity, accessibility, wellbeing and more.
There are a range of Study Hubs providing study space, PCs and printers across Canterbury campus, convenient to you and an alternative to the Templeman Library.
The Drill Hall Library plays a central role in delivering an excellent academic experience on the Medway campus through services that empower Medway students, teachers and researchers. Facilities in the Drill Hall include a Family Study Room and a Medway Researchers room and services that enable the community to realise their academic potential and ambitions through the use of information and relevant technologies.
