Five Weeks to Self-Confidence

This course provides supportive tools and strategies to help you take charge of your feelings and overcome doubt on your journey to self-worth, trust and improved self-awareness. Commitment to all 5 sessions is required.

Self-esteem shapes how we live and view the world, when it is balanced, our relationships, communication and daily lives can be at their best. This course provides supportive tools and strategies to help you take charge of your feelings and overcome doubt on your journey to self-worth, trust and improved self-awareness. It will enable you to change your inner dialogue and improve the relationship you have with your thoughts, you will explore your values and beliefs, and learn how to set healthy boundaries. You will discover how to understand and quiet your inner critic on the path to self-acceptance.

Participants are required to commit to group confidentially, what is said in the group stays in the group. Please commitment to attend all five sessions when booking onto this course. You will be required to participate in group work, breakout rooms and to have a working video cameras on at all times.  The group sessions will start and end with a check-in to ensure participants can debrief any material which may have come up for them in the past week or during the sessions. Homework tasks will be set on occasion so you can track your own individual progress.  This workshop is based on the work of Lynn Matti and her book 5 weeks to self-confidence.

Please note that you need to commit to attending all 5 sessions which take place on Wednesdays from 2pm-4pm on the following dates: 2 June, 9 June, 16 June, 23 June and 30 June. If you are available for all 5 dates and would like to participate, please email wellbeingevents@kent.ac.uk to book your place.
