Join us for Autism Orientation day visits to the Canterbury campus - a chance for students to come and see the environment before the start of term and get to know one another and the Student Support team, learn about services, and ask questions about support at Kent.
We are running 2 visit day options (same programme for each, details to be confirmed) on Tuesday 6th September and Friday 9th September 2022. For an idea of the day's content, check out the draft itinerary below. There are a maximum of 20 places per day.
If you are planning to study a course based at the Medway campus and would like to arrange a visit, please email autismsupport@kent.ac.uk to set this up.
I remember being taken aback by the respectful and knowledgeable approach the uni seems to take towards neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people, to a degree I've never encountered before outside of online spaces.
We will continue to be available beyond orientation days and welcome weeks at Kent. Have a look at our Autism Support page for more information on what's on throughout the year, such as one to one support and autism peer support or activity groups.
The main Student Support and Wellbeing page shows all the other services offered, such as for specific learning difficulties, mental health, physical disabilities and chronic conditions, and also an events calendar for details on how to join groups and workshops.
Have you booked your place on a September visit day? We'll keep adding more information for to plan your Autism Orientation Visit Day throughout June and July as we confirm the details of the day. You can already browse how to get to the campus and staff profiles.
