Are you an autistic student starting in September 2022? Welcome to Kent
Join us for Autism Orientation day visits to the Canterbury campus - a chance for students to come and see the environment before the start of term and get to know one another and the Student Support team, learn about services, and ask questions about support at Kent.
We are running 2 visit day options (same programme for each, details to be confirmed) on Tuesday 6th September and Friday 9th September 2022. For an idea of the day's content, check out the draft itinerary below. There are a maximum of 20 places per day.
If you are planning to study a course based at the Medway campus and would like to arrange a visit, please email autismsupport@kent.ac.uk to set this up.

Welcome to Kent and to Student Support
Meet outside Dolche vita cafe (detailed directions will be provided) for an introduction to student support staff and outline of the day.
11 am
Library Talk
Find out how to use the library, get help from subject librarians, and study spaces available.
11:30 am
Accommodation Talk
Everything you want to know about living with others, on and off campus.
12 pm
Campus walk
Brief walk to show around main locations on campus in small groups, finishing at the Plaza.
12:30 - 1.30 pm
Lunch
Lunch will be provided, please let us know your dietary requirements when registering to attend online.

What's it like being an autistic student at Kent?
Talk by current students and autistic staff on their experiences, and more on peer support groups such as University of Kent Autistics.
