The Let's Play programme offers an array of fun, social sporting activities. These non-competitive sessions are ideal for staff and students who want to try new activities, meet new people and maintain a healthy lifestyle regardless of ability or age. Open to all staff and students.
All Let's Play sessions are free for Kent Sport Gold and Silver members. A minimum of Kent Sport Bronze membership is required to take part with each session costing just £2. All sessions can be booked online or at reception. Please ensure you bring your ticket to the session. Open Swim can only be booked at the Sports Centre reception or by calling 01227 823 623.

Running and Couch to 5k sessions
Our popular running sessions are group-led and are suitable for a variety of experience levels, from absolute beginners to those looking to improve their technique.
Our beginners hockey sessions are aimed at those with little or no experience of hockey, and teaches the very basics of control and technique in a fun, social group.
Our swimming sessions take place off-campus at King's Recreation Centre just outside Canterbury town centre.
Join us for a range of fun racquet sports including touchtennis, table tennis, squash and badminton.
Whether you haven't played since school or are just a bit rusty, the netball sessions will help you ease back in to the game.
This Girl Can
Who said girls can't lift? In these women-only sessions, you'll get to grips with the basics of lifting technique for movements such as squats, deadlifts and presses.
Have a kick about on your lunch break, with friendly and informal games. All abilities welcome.
Come and shoot some hoops and / or play in our friendly basketball themed games.
Let's Play passport
If you want to get more out of your Let's Play sessions, make sure you pick up a passport. For each session you attend, you'll get one stamp for your passport. Earning 10 stamps will win you a t-shirt, at 30 you'll get a hoody, and after 35 sessions you'll be entered in to the grand prize draw!
Terms and conditions
- A single Let’s Play session qualifies the bearer for a single stamp.
- The participant must ensure that the passport is stamped at the activity. The passport cannot be stamped post activity.
- Name, staff/student number and date of issue must be written on the passport for it to be valid.
- The passport is the property of Kent Sport and can be revoked at any time.
- Passports are non-transferable, they are only valid for the individual named.
- Lost/stolen passports cannot be re-stamped.
