Intramural sport

Kent Sport is keen to encourage everyone to get active and take part in sport with leagues and tournaments. Our sports development team provide students, staff and Kent Sport members with the opportunity to compete in friendly, organised, recreational sport and are continually developing and extending the sports on offer.

Dodgeball

Everyone can play Dodgeball. It is very social and extremely addictive, as well as great for fitness. Some players will be good at throwing, some good at catching, some great dodgers (or a combination of these). Some of you will throw yourselves around; others are more economical with their energy.

Futsal league

Futsal is a variant of football played mainly indoors on a small pitch, with a smaller ball and between two teams of five players, one of whom is the goalkeeper. The surface, ball and rules create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing in small spaces.

Kent Amateur Football League (KAFL)

The Kent Amateur Football League, or KAFL as it is more commonly known, was set up by students with the focus on inclusion and increased participation in 11-a-side football on campus.

There are four divisions comprising of four teams. The season will consist of a combination of a League and Cup or Plate competitions.

SoccerZone

SoccerZone are the campus based five-a-side football leagues. Set up to increase football participation on campus, teams are limited to three Inter College football players and one Kent F.C. player per squad. Captains should be wary of this when submitting their squads as any teams breaking the quota will be replaced by a team on the reserve list.

Vice-Chancellor's Cup

The Vice-Chancellor's Cup was introduced in 2011 by Graham Holmes, Director of Kent Sport. It is an inter-departmental staff competition for all abilities to encourage staff to keep active in a fun and non-threatening environment.
