Student Support - Getting better Marks

Helping you get better marks

To improve your academic performance at university the best advice really is to read more. Reading widely is the key to enabling you to think critically about your studies. Try to set yourself achievable targets for your reading such as a chapter every day, or 2 articles a week. Keep brief notes on your reading so that you remember where you read things.
There is also help on campus for your learning. The Student Learning Advisory Service runs study skills workshops and writing clinics.

The Library offers research support, the Centre for English and World Languages supports students with English as a second language and the Student Union and Careers Service provide workshops on employability and life skills.
