Kent is known as the UK’s European university and has a long history of sending students abroad on study or work placements. In addition to an internationally recognised degree from Kent and an outstanding student experience in the UK, students who choose to work or study abroad as part of their Kent degree enjoy many benefits, including an international outlook, transferable skills, and modern language skills to name just a few.
All SECL students have the opportunity to study their subject, taught in English, at a partner university for a term or an additional year between Stages 2 and 3. Year abroad fees
For the full academic year 2017/18, the tuition fees payable to Kent will be £1,350 for all undergraduate students studying or working abroad. No additional tuition fee is payable to any partner universities abroad.

You also have the opportunity of taking a placement year between Stages 2 and 3. Final year students of any discipline may additionaly apply for graduate language assistantships through the British Council, subject to the usual eligibility criteria. Previous language skills are not currently required for language assistantships in China.
